Puerto Plata, Constanza, and shopping for hours with Hermana Bretón

Hey everyone! So our p-day was moved from Saturday to Monday. All because we had to do a move on Saturday in the prettiest place ever!! Constanza is a place in the DR with big mountains and is known as the coldest place in the country. It feels like a summer night or a fall day and I loved it. Sadly due to the busy schedule we were on we didn't get to take any pictures:(

We actually did 2 moves last week. One of them being in Puerto Plata. We had a good time there cause there is an Empanada Shop that some members own and we always go eat there when we have to go to Puerto Plata. It's called Deli-past and the Juice there is unreal haha.

Friday was one of the funnest days I have had on my mission. The original plan was to move Constanza but it was raining and the drive there is super dangerous so Pres moved it to Saturday. So on Friday we spent the entire day from 10-9 with the AP’s and Pres and Hermana Bretón.

The first thing we did was go to a mattress Factory. We had to repair some of the missions mattresses and so we went and checked out an entire factory. It was actually so cool. We got to watch how mattress are made and all the machines they use and it was crazy. After that we went shopping with Hermana Bretón while the AP’s went to Presidents house to work on transfers.

We shopped with Hermana Bretón from 3:30ish and didn't get back to the mission home until 9:40. It was kinda brutal haha. Some American songs were playing though and I started singing and Hermana Bretón thought that was funny lol. Also there were some dope Spanish songs so I asked her the name of them and she told me and then said in Spanish "what am I gonna do with you?!?" Haha. Shopping with her is always a good time.

As far as teaching goes our area is doing great rn! We have 6 baptismal dates and we are hoping to have a baptism this coming week. We have been working so hard at always getting to our area even if it's 8:30. As we have been diligent in working late the Lord has blessed us with amazing people to teach.

Some of them are Michell, Maria, and Jennifer. They live in this super beat up place in the middle of nowhere and have a great desire to learn and follow Jesus Christ. We have invited them to be baptized on the 24th of Feb so pray that they can be prepared!

I thought that having 6 months left in the mission would be slow and so hard, but in all honesty I have been so happy. I love the work and I am grateful to have a little chunk of time left in it.

Love you all!

Don't Blink

Kenny Chesney has a song called Don't Blink. It says don’t blink life goes faster than you think, so basically talks about how fast time...
